Play Super Battletank 2 Online
You're crammed in a tank cockpit, juggling between turret controls and radar blips as jeeps swarm and choppers dive—mess up your ammo selection and that SCUD launcher gets another shot off.

Super Battletank 2 came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Absolute Entertainment. It was part of that wave of military vehicle sims that tried to bring a little more realism to the action genre, sitting alongside games like Desert Strike but with a heavier, more deliberate feel. The setting is the Gulf War, and the whole thing has that low resolution, slightly gritty look that a lot of 16-bit war games had.
You control an M1 Abrams tank, and your job is to complete a series of missions by destroying all enemy targets on each map. The key mechanics involve managing your different ammunition types; you have to switch between sabot rounds for armor and HE shells for softer targets, which adds a tactical layer to the constant firing. The view is from inside the cockpit, so you're watching through a periscope and monitoring a radar for enemy positions. The pacing is methodical, not fast; you have to be careful with your shots and movement because the enemy can overwhelm you quickly if you're reckless. It feels like a tense, claustrophobic puzzle where every shell counts.
