Super Shougi came out for the Super Nintendo in 1991, published by I'Max Corp. It was one of the earlier digital versions of shogi, the Japanese chess variant, on the system. You control the shogi pieces, moving them across a 9x9 board with the goal of capturing your opponent's king.
