Game Overview

Super Smash TV on SNES is like someone took a 90s action movie, a game show, and a bullet hell shooter, then cranked everything to 11. You're basically a contestant in this messed-up TV spectacle where the audience cheers as robots, mutants, and who-knows-what-else try to turn you into a bloody smear on the studio floor.

The controls feel surprisingly good for a SNES game—you move with the D-pad while firing in any direction with the face buttons. Took me a minute to get used to it, but once it clicks, you're weaving through laser grids while blasting three different weapons at once. And yeah, the announcer never shuts up, but his ridiculous one-liners ("Big money! Big prizes! I love it!") somehow make the chaos even better.

Play it alone if you're a masochist, but grab a friend for co-op if you actually want to survive past level 3. Nothing beats the moment when you're both cornered by chainsaw-wielding maniacs, desperately back-to-back like some cheesy action heroes. Just don't get too attached to those extra lives—they disappear fast.

It's dumb, loud, and exactly what you'd want from a game where the grand prize is a toaster.
