Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival (High Society) (EU) is the GBA version of the classic fighter, and it's impressive how much they squeezed into the tiny cartridge. The first thing you notice is how responsive the controls feel for a handheld, though pulling off combos takes some practice with the smaller buttons.
I spent way too many bus rides trying to master Ryu's fireball motions without looking like I was having a seizure. The roster is packed with all the usual suspects, and the pixel art still holds up surprisingly well on the small screen. Matches are fast, sometimes too fast—you blink and half your health is gone from a well-timed super.
It's not perfect—the AI can be brutal even on lower difficulties, and the lack of a proper training mode hurts when you're learning. But for a portable version of Turbo, it does the job better than you'd expect.
