Super Uno came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, published by Tomy Corporation. It was one of those oddball releases that showed up in the later part of the SNES's life, a time when developers were willing to try some pretty unconventional ideas with familiar properties. It took the basic card game and stretched it into something much weirder.
You control a little character moving around a board game style map, drawing cards and trying to empty your hand before the AI opponents. The main objective is to win rounds of Uno, but the real twist is the board itself; you move spaces, land on special squares that trigger events or let you steal cards, and collect power-ups that change the rules mid-game. The pacing is frantic, especially with multiple players, because the board mechanics add a layer of chaos on top of the card play. It feels like a chaotic, unpredictable party crammed into a single cartridge.
