Game Overview

Terminator 2: Judgment Day on the Amiga was one of those early 90s movie tie-ins that tried to capture the film's intensity. Virgin Games handled the publishing, and it came out right when the film was everywhere. The Amiga version had to stand out among a lot of other ports, each trying to do something a little different with the license.

You control the T-800, moving through side-scrolling levels and shooting everything that gets in your way. The main goal is to protect John Connor and stop Skynet, which means blasting through waves of police, soldiers, and other Terminators. The game uses a mix of standard run-and-gun action and some light platforming, with weapons like the shotgun and minigun feeling appropriately heavy. It moves at a fast pace, and the difficulty can spike pretty hard in later stages. Playing it feels like a relentless, noisy scramble to survive just a little bit longer.
