Terminator 2: Judgment Day came out for the Game Boy in 1991, published by LJN. It was one of many licensed games from that era, trying to capture the movie's action on a handheld screen. You controlled the T-800, moving through levels that loosely followed the film's plot, from the mental hospital to the final showdown.
You guide the Terminator through side-scrolling stages, shooting enemies like police and other machines. The main goal is to protect John Connor and stop Skynet. Key mechanics include switching between a pistol and a limited shotgun, managing ammo carefully, and facing bosses like the T-1000. The game is quite difficult, with tight jumps and relentless enemies. It feels tense and unforgiving, demanding precision with every move.
