Game Overview

The Lost Vikings II (or Vikings: The Lost World if you're in Europe) is that rare sequel that doesn’t just repeat the original—it actually gets weirder and more inventive. You’re still juggling the same three goofy Vikings—Erik the guy who runs fast, Baleog the one who hits stuff, and Olaf the walking shield—but now they’ve picked up two bizarre new friends: a werewolf who climbs walls and a tiny dragon that breathes fire (badly).

The puzzles start simple—like, "Hey, maybe use Olaf’s shield as a platform?"—but by the third world, you’re doing things like freezing time mid-jump or setting your own teammates on fire just to light a torch. The levels get seriously creative, bouncing between caveman times, robot factories, and even a level where everything’s made of food. And yeah, the cutscenes are still hilarious in that early '90s Blizzard way—lots of bad puns and Vikings getting hit in the face.

It’s one of those games where failing feels fun because the solutions are so stupidly obvious… once you finally figure them out. If you like scratching your head for 20 minutes and then yelling "OH COME ON" at the screen, this holds up way better than most SNES puzzle games.
