Play Three Stooges Online
Control Moe, Larry, or Curly in Three Stooges on NES, punch enemies, throw pies, and dodge chaos to gather cash and pay rent before the landlord catches up.
Three Stooges for the NES came out in 1989, developed by Beam Software and published by Activision. It was one of those many licensed games from that era, trying to capture the spirit of a popular act in a side scrolling format. You control either Moe, Larry, or Curly, each with their own slight variations, through a series of stages based on the trio's classic shorts.
The main goal is to earn enough money by the end of each stage to pay the rent and avoid the landlord's wrath. You do this by moving screen by screen, punching enemies, throwing pies, and interacting with objects in the environment, like ladders and doors, which often backfire comically. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty comes from the unpredictable physics and your own attacks sometimes working against you. It feels exactly as clumsy and silly as you'd hope a Stooges game would.
