Game Overview

Time Runners 01 - Gateways In Time is one of those classic Amiga games that feels like it got lost in time itself. You play as a dimension-hopping agent jumping through portals to fix messed-up timelines—think part platformer, part puzzle solver, with that unmistakable late '80s vibe. The pixel art has this weirdly charming roughness to it, and the soundtrack? Pure synth nostalgia.

At first, the controls take a minute to get used to—everything’s a little floaty—but once you adjust, there’s something satisfying about figuring out how to nudge history back on track. Some of the levels get seriously creative, like one where you’re sneaking through a medieval castle to stop a knight from inventing gunpowder too early. It’s not perfect, but if you’re into retro games with personality, this one’s got plenty.
