TimeSlip came out on the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Psygnosis. It was a time when platformers and action games were everywhere, but this one tried something different by mashing up settings and mechanics in a way that felt fresh for the system.
You control a character who slips between prehistoric, wild west, and futuristic eras, each with its own movement and combat style; in one era you might be shooting laser pistols, in another you're dodging dinosaurs or outlaws. The goal is to explore levels screen by screen, defeat enemies, and solve environmental puzzles that often require switching eras on the fly. The pacing is fast, and it can get pretty tough with all the timing and spatial awareness needed. It feels chaotic but clever when you nail a sequence of jumps and era shifts without missing a beat.
