Play Toe Jam & Earl Online

Toe Jam & Earl is basically what happens if someone took a 90s rap album cover and turned it into a video game. You play as these two ridiculous aliens—Toe Jam, who looks like a stretched-out chili pepper, and Earl, his round, perpetually hyped-up buddy—just trying to find their spaceship parts on Earth. Except Earth here is some fever dream version where you'll get chased by everything from overeager ice cream trucks to literal boogeymen hiding in bushes.

The whole thing plays like a roguelike before roguelikes were even a thing. Every level's randomly generated, so you never know if opening that present box will give you a sweet pair of rocket skates or summon an angry hula girl. The co-op mode is where it really shines, though—nothing beats watching your friend panic as they accidentally step on a trap while you're busy vibing to that funky soundtrack.

It's janky in that classic Genesis way, but that's part of the charm. After all these years, there's still nothing quite like it.
