Tom and Jerry in Mouse Attacks! came out in 2000 for the Game Boy Color, published by NewKidCo. It was one of those licensed platformers that felt right at home on the handheld, colorful and straightforward, a familiar kind of game for the time.
You play as Jerry, sneaking through the house to rescue your mouse friends from Tom. Each screen is a little puzzle; you climb furniture, avoid traps, and collect keys and cheese wedges. The game throws these moral choice moments at you, where an angel or devil version of Jerry pops up, but they never seem to change much. It moves at a steady pace, not too hard but not a breeze either, and it feels like a classic cat and mouse chase condensed for on the go play.
