Tom’s Eierjagd—or "Tom’s Egg Hunt" if you don’t speak German—is one of those weird little Atari 2600 games that somehow ended up as a PAL exclusive. You’re probably controlling some guy (Tom, I guess?) running around grabbing eggs, because that’s what video games were in the early '80s: simple, frantic, and obsessed with high scores.

It’s not exactly a hidden gem, but there’s something oddly charming about how straightforward it is. No power-ups, no elaborate mechanics—just you, some eggs, and whatever weird Atari noises the console could cough up. If you’re into retro collecting, it’s a neat oddity to stumble across, especially since it never made it to NTSC regions. Mostly, though, it’s a fun little time capsule of when games didn’t need much more than a joystick and a goal to keep you hooked.

Definitely more of a curiosity than a must-play, but hey, sometimes that’s enough.
