Game Overview

Tommy Gun is one of those weird, charming Amiga shooters where you play as a rogue tomato with a vendetta against aliens. They’ve brainwashed your veggie buddies across five zones, and now it’s up to you to blast through waves of enemies—supermarket produce, pirate parrots, you name it—while scrolling left and right in that classic rail shooter style.

It’s simple but surprisingly fun once you get into the rhythm. Freeing captured tomatoes gives you health or ammo boosts, which you’ll definitely need because some of those crabs (yes, crabs) don’t go down easy. And if you’ve got a friend around, the two-player mode lets them jump in as Big Cheese, which is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds.

Not the deepest game out there, but it’s got personality—and honestly, how many shooters let you fight sentient groceries?
