Game Overview

Tommy's Gorilla Balls was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it was never given a formal release number. It was developed by a small, now obscure team, and it fits right into that era of simple, single-screen action games that relied more on a quirky premise than complex graphics or story. You boot it up, and it's immediately clear this is from a time when developers were experimenting with whatever odd ideas they could get to run on the hardware.

You control a small character, presumably Tommy, from a top-down perspective. Your goal is to collect all the bouncing balls scattered across the screen while avoiding a large, surprisingly fast gorilla that relentlessly chases you. The core mechanics involve quick dashes to grab a ball and then immediate evasion; the gorilla's movement patterns are unpredictable, often feinting one way before lunging another. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty spikes quickly as more balls are added to later levels. It feels like a tense game of cat and mouse where one mistake sends you back to the start.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
