Game Overview

Tommy's Flipout was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a release from the early 1990s that bundled various shareware titles. It was a product of its time, a straightforward arcade-style game that didn't try to be more than it was, fitting right in with the era's focus on quick, repeatable gameplay sessions.

You control Tommy, a small character moving tile by tile on a single-screen grid. Your goal is to flip all the tiles to your color by stepping on them, while avoiding enemies that patrol the board in set patterns. The core mechanics involve careful path planning to outmaneuver your pursuers and strategic use of temporary safe tiles that appear. The pacing is relentless; the difficulty escalates sharply as new enemy types and faster movement are introduced, demanding precise timing and quick decisions. It feels like a tense, spatial puzzle where one wrong move resets your progress.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
