Toride is a 1995 puzzle game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed and published by Natsume. You control a cursor to select and remove mahjong tiles from a multi-layered, pyramid-like structure. The main goal is to clear the entire board by matching identical, unblocked tiles. Your hand can only hold seven tiles at a time, so you must constantly match and clear them to free up space; a wrong move can lock away needed pairs beneath other tiles, creating tense standoffs. The game demands careful forward planning, as the difficulty ramps up with more complex layouts. It feels like a constant, quiet battle against a clock you can't see.
