Game Overview
Toukiden Kiwami is basically Monster Hunter but with samurai and demons—way more my speed. You start off picking from a bunch of weapons (I went with the spear first, then switched to dual blades after realizing I like fast attacks). The real hook? You absorb these ghostly Mitama spirits from fallen Oni, and each one gives you different buffs or abilities. Some boost your fire damage, others let you dash faster—mixing and matching them is half the fun.
Fights feel weighty but not sluggish, and the Oni designs are wild—some look like walking temples with glowing eyes. The first few missions ease you in, but once you hit the bigger monsters, you’ll actually need to strategize instead of just button-mashing. Oh, and the armor sets? Way cooler than most hunting games. I spent way too long farming materials just to make my character look like a demonic shrine maiden.
