Transformers Prime (ABSTRAKT) (G) came out for the Nintendo DS in 2012, published by Activision. It was part of that late-era DS lineup, games that tried to squeeze a bit more out of the hardware before the 3DS took over. This one was based on the Transformers Prime animated series, so it had that specific look and feel.
You control Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, switching between them to use their unique abilities. The main goal is to fight through Decepticon forces across different environments. The signature mechanics are transforming between robot and vehicle modes to solve puzzles and navigate obstacles, along with a combat system that uses light and heavy attacks. The pacing is fairly quick, but some of the boss fights, like the one against Soundwave, are genuinely tough and require you to learn their attack patterns. It feels satisfying to master the timing of your transformations to dodge and counterattack.
