Play TwinBee - Rainbow Bell Adventure Online
You bounce around colorful levels as a tiny ship with legs, lobbing bells at cartoon enemies while the soundtrack gets stuck in your head for weeks. Co-op turns it into a friendly competition where you’ll accidentally knock each other off platforms.

TwinBee: Rainbow Bell Adventure came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed and published by Konami. It was part of that era when platformers were everywhere, but this one stood out because it spun off from a shoot 'em up series and tried something completely different. Instead of flying through space, you're on the ground, and the whole thing has this playful, almost toy-like look that feels distinct from a lot of other SNES games at the time.
You control TwinBee, a little robot with stubby legs, navigating side-scrolling stages. Your main goal is to get through each level, defeat the boss, and rescue the kidnapped fairy, Melora. The signature mechanics involve punching and kicking enemies, but the real fun comes from the bells. You can pick them up and throw them as projectiles; hitting an enemy with a thrown bell sometimes makes a power-up pop out, which changes your attack. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty is manageable but not without its tricky jumps or enemy placements. It feels like a cheerful, slightly silly action game where you're just as likely to be bopping along to the music as you are focusing on not falling into a pit.
