Play Typhoon of Steel Online
You scramble tanks across a grid while artillery shells rain down—one wrong move and your whole squad’s toast in seconds. That orange popcorn explosion never gets old.

Game Overview
"Typhoon of Steel" is that kind of MS-DOS game where you boot it up and—bam—you're already in the middle of a warzone. No tutorials, no hand-holding, just you, a grid map, and a bunch of pixel tanks ready to blow each other up. The first time I played, I lost half my units in five minutes because I didn’t realize how fast enemy artillery could zero in on my position. Lesson learned.
It’s got this weirdly addictive rhythm—you’re constantly shuffling infantry into cover, repositioning tanks for flank shots, and praying your artillery lands before theirs does. The graphics are pure 90s strategy game: chunky sprites, explosions that look like orange popcorn, and terrain that somehow still feels tactical despite being made of squares. If you’ve ever wanted a war game that cuts out the boring bits and gets straight to the "oh crap, they’re surrounding me" moments, this is it.
Just don’t expect to win on your first try. Or your fifth.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
