Typhoon of Steel came out in 1988 from Strategic Simulations, Inc., one of those deep, turn-based strategy games that defined the MS-DOS era for war gamers. It didn't have flashy graphics, but it demanded serious thought, placing you right in the middle of intense armored conflicts from World War II. You had to plan every move carefully, because the game didn't forgive mistakes.
You command a variety of tanks and infantry units, moving them across a hex-based map to capture objectives or destroy the enemy force.
