Play Ultrabots Online
Pilot three wildly different mechs—scout ahead with the fragile speedster, hold the line with the slow tank, or play it safe with the balanced bot—while juggling power grids and trying not to get your base wrecked. That overhead map becomes your lifeline when the aliens swarm in.

Ultrabots came out in 1993 for MS-DOS, published by Electronic Arts. It was part of that wave of early 90s PC games that tried to blend strategy with real-time action, back when managing system resources and reading a manual felt like part of the experience. You controlled massive mechs from an isometric view, tasked with defending your base against waves of alien invaders.
You pilot three distinct mechs: a fast but weak scout, a slow but heavily armored tank, and a balanced all-rounder. The main goal is to protect your base from destruction while managing your power grid, since every action drains energy. You explore the terrain screen by screen, engaging enemies in tactical combat that requires constant positioning and resource awareness. The pacing is deliberate, with moments of quiet planning erupting into frantic defensive battles. It feels like a tense, thoughtful puzzle where every move counts.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
