Game Overview

I picked up Undead Knights back in 2009 on the PSP, a game developed by Team Tachyon and published by Tecmo. It was one of those titles that flew under the radar for a lot of people, but it had a distinct, grimy charm that fit right in with the platform's library of action games from that era.

You control Romulus, a betrayed knight resurrected as an undead lord, and your goal is to lead a vengeful rampage against the kingdom that wronged you. The core of the game revolves around turning slain enemies into obedient zombie minions; you can command them to swarm guards, form living bridges to cross gaps, or even sacrifice them to break down barriers. Combat is chaotic and direct, focusing on crowd control rather than precision, and the pace stays relentless as you amass your undead army. It feels raw and unpolished in places, but there's a grim satisfaction in overwhelming entire battalions with your growing horde.
