I picked up Uno for the Game Boy Color back in 1999, developed by Realtime Associates. It was one of those simple, straightforward ports that made sense on a handheld, especially in an era when portable multiplayer was still a novelty. You didn't need much explanation; it was just Uno, ready to go wherever you were.

You control your hand of cards, aiming to be the first to empty it by matching colors or numbers with the discard pile. The game includes all the classic action cards: Skip makes the next player lose a turn, Reverse flips the direction of play, and Draw Two forces an opponent to pick up cards. Wild and Draw Four cards add strategic chaos, letting you change the color or penalize others. The AI offers decent challenge, sometimes holding back, other times pressing hard. Playing against a friend with a link cable turns it into a proper battle of wits. It feels quick and unpredictable, just like the real card game.
