Play Urban Champion (JU) Online
Brawl in city streets, knocking your opponent into manholes or out of the arena.
Urban Champion came out on the NES in 1986, developed and published by Nintendo. It was one of those early, simple fighting games that felt experimental, a straightforward brawler made when the console's library was still growing.
You control a fighter in a city street, trading punches with an opponent on a single screen. The goal is to knock them back step by step until they fall into a manhole or off the edge of the sidewalk. You can throw punches high or low, and sometimes residents in the buildings above drop flowerpots that stun whoever is underneath. The pacing is slow, almost methodical, and the difficulty comes from the opponent's predictable but persistent attacks. It feels like a bare bones test of patience and timing, not skill.
