Game Overview

Verne World is one of those SNES games that makes you stop and go, "Wait, how have I never heard of this before?" You play as this little round guy—sort of like a balloon with limbs—bouncing through these gorgeous, clanking steampunk worlds full of floating islands and giant gears. It’s got that perfect mix of exploration and light puzzles where you’re never stuck for too long, just enough to make you feel clever when you figure out how to open a new path.

The art style is what really gets me—everything’s got this hand-drawn, slightly surreal look, like someone took Jules Verne’s sketches and brought them to life. And the music? Dreamy in the best way. It’s not a hardcore platformer or anything, more like a chill adventure where half the fun is just seeing what weird contraption or hidden detail pops up next. Definitely one of those forgotten gems that deserves way more love.
