Vs. Duck Hunt is that classic arcade shooter where you’re standing in a swamp, waiting for ducks to burst out of the reeds—and your goofy dog is just sitting there, grinning at you until he finally flushes them out. You’ve got three shots, and if you miss too many, the dog actually laughs at you. Rude.

In the main mode, ducks start slow, but by round 4 or 5, they’re zipping across the screen like they’ve had way too much coffee. There’s also a two-player twist where someone can mess with you by steering the duck’s path, which usually ends in a lot of yelling. And if you’re tired of ducks, the clay pigeon mode is basically the same thing, but with orange discs that shatter satisfyingly when you nail them.

It’s simple, but that light gun makes it weirdly addictive—just don’t get too cocky, or that smug dog will humble you fast.
