About the Game: War Diary

War Diary is a real-time strategy game where players must build military bases, manage resources, and command troops through a 12-stage campaign filled with tactical challenges.

1. Base Construction

To succeed, players must construct and manage various military structures (except in Stage 11). These include:

• Barracks – Allows the creation of Peasants and Fighters, and equips troops with available weapons.
• Arms Works – Produces up to six types of weapons including swords, arrows, cannons, and ballistae.
• Shipyard – Builds Transport Rafts and Battleships.
• Temple – Generates Priests with magical abilities.
• Blacksmith – Produces iron used in construction and weapon crafting.
• Guard Tower – Automatically fires arrows and projectiles at incoming enemies.
• Additional structures include the Tool Works, Heavy Arms Works, and Stables, which unlock advanced weaponry and unit capabilities.

2. Resource Management

Every building requires resources such as money, wood, and iron:

• Iron – Produced by the Blacksmith.
• Wood – Collected by Peasants chopping down trees.
• Money – Earned by trading or selling resources.
• Food – Gathered from farmlands or through trade.

3. Manpower and Troops

Players must create Peasants and Troops:

• Peasants serve as workers – harvesting crops, chopping trees, and refining iron.
• Troops are trained for combat and can be equipped with weapons to increase their attack power.

As the game progresses, players can craft and equip troops with powerful upgrades like defensive shields, healing ginseng, Suhwaja speed boots, and daggers that enhance both attack and defense.

4. Campaign Stages

The campaign consists of 12 stages, each with unique goals and unlockable units or structures. Objectives and new items are displayed at the start of each stage and detailed in the game manual.

5. Dynamic Elements

The game also features environmental conditions:

• A weather vane shows wind direction, and rain or thunderstorms can impact your troops.
• A clock helps track time of day, offering strategic choices such as nighttime raids versus daytime attacks.
