Game Overview

Warpman is one of those weird little NES games that feels like Pac-Man had a fever dream. You’re this little guy zipping around a maze, but instead of eating dots, you’re blasting aliens and teleporting to different screens when things get too hectic. The first time I played, I just kept warping randomly like an idiot until I realized you actually have to plan your escapes—those neon-colored enemies don’t mess around.

The music’s got this frantic, bleep-bloopy energy that makes everything feel way more intense than it should. And the mazes? They start simple, but by level three, you’re sweating. It’s got that classic arcade vibe where you’ll die a lot at first, then suddenly everything clicks and you’re warping like a pro. Definitely one of the more bizarre NES titles, but in the best way possible.
