Warriors of Might and Magic on Game Boy Color puts you in the boots of Alleron, a soldier framed as a necromancer and tossed into a dungeon crawling with skeletons and worse. Your only way out? Fight through it all and make the people who locked you up regret it—though good luck with that, because every exit’s guarded by something even nastier than the last.
It’s a top-down hack-and-slash with just enough RPG touches to keep things interesting—you’ll level up, grab better gear, and face off against bosses that weren’t even in the console version. The levels feel different too, more compact but packed with traps and enemies that’ll keep you on your toes. I remember getting stuck on one boss for ages before realizing I needed to circle-strafe like my life depended on it (because, well, it did).
If you like your revenge stories served with a side of skeleton-smashing, this one’s a solid pick for the GBC library.
