Warriors Orochi 2 came out on the PlayStation Portable in 2008, developed by Omega Force and published by Koei. It was one of those games that felt right at home on the PSP, especially if you were into big, chaotic action games you could take anywhere. You control a team of three characters from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series, switching between them on the fly to adapt to different enemy types or to manage their health and special meters. The main goal is to fight through large battlefields, capturing bases and defeating enemy officers to turn the tide of war. Key mechanics include building up musou attacks for screen-clearing power and using team-based combo chains. The pacing is fast and relentless, with hundreds of enemies swarming you at once, though the difficulty can feel forgiving compared to some earlier titles. It feels satisfying to plow through entire armies with flashy, exaggerated moves.
