Weapon Lord came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Visual Concepts and published by Namco. It arrived late in the SNES lifecycle, a time when fighting games were plentiful but often played it safe with familiar formulas.
You control one of seven warriors, each wielding a distinct bladed weapon, with the goal of defeating all rivals across a series of one-on-one duels. The combat emphasizes precise timing and weapon positioning; swings feel heavy and deliberate, with specific moves designed to break an opponent's weapon or even sever limbs.
