Play Wetrix Online
You shape terrain to trap falling water, then scramble when earthquakes and fireballs wreck your dams—it's Tetris meets disaster control. Two-player mode turns it into hilarious sabotage chaos.

Wetrix came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed by Zed Two. It was one of those puzzle games that felt a little out of place on a system known for action and adventure, but it found its audience among players looking for something different. In an era dominated by 3D platformers and racing games, Wetrix offered a quiet, almost meditative kind of challenge.
You control the game’s perspective more than a character, dropping blocks of land to shape the terrain and create basins. Your goal is to catch falling water droplets and rain, then contain them without letting any spill over the edges. Earthquakes shake the landscape, fireballs evaporate your water reserves, and ice freezes pools solid, forcing you to constantly adapt. The pacing is deliberate but tense, especially as the rain falls faster and disasters strike more frequently. It feels like conducting a slow motion emergency where every decision matters.
