Play Whomp Em Online
NES platformer where a warrior collects totems from themed levels—spear combat gets surprisingly deep, and that ice stage is harder than it looks.

Whomp Em came out in 1991 for the NES, published by Jaleco. It was one of those many action platformers that filled the library back then, not a huge standout but a solid entry if you were looking for something new to play after renting the bigger titles.
You control a young warrior named Zun, moving screen by screen through themed levels like forests and ice caves. Your main goal is to defeat the guardians at the end of each stage to collect a totem piece, eventually confronting the final boss. You attack with a spear that has a decent reach, and you can find power-ups to throw it like a projectile or increase its strength. The pacing is methodical, almost cautious, because enemies respawn if you leave a screen and the platforming demands precision. It feels like a deliberate test of patience and timing rather than a frantic rush.
