Play World Class Rugby Online
Pick a team from the '91 World Cup, tweak the rules just right, and shove through pixelated scrums until that sweet, janky drop goal animation hits.

Game Overview
World Class Rugby on SNES is one of those sports games that actually gets the feel of the sport right—if you can handle the 16-bit era graphics. You’ve got all the big teams from the '91 World Cup, including New Zealand (who won it that year), and you can either jump into a quick match or go full tournament mode with all 16 squads.
What surprised me was how much you can tweak: match length, difficulty (10 levels!), even turning off offsides if you just want to bash through tackles without worrying about rules. The scrums and line-outs actually work like real rugby, and landing a drop goal feels weirdly satisfying for pixelated players. Oh, and you can save replays of your best tries, which is great until you realize how janky the animations look in slow-mo.
It’s not perfect—the AI can be brutal on higher difficulties—but for an early ‘90s rugby sim, it holds up better than most. Just don’t expect FIFA-level polish.
