Play World League Basketball (Europe) Online
Pick your European team, control all five players, score points, call for picks, execute alley-oops, and outsmart the opponent in this fast-paced basketball showdown.
World League Basketball came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed by C-Lab. It was one of the early sports titles on the system, arriving before the flood of more polished basketball games that would define the mid-90s. You picked from a selection of European national teams, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, and the presentation had that distinct, slightly rough early SNES charm.
You control all five players on your chosen team, cycling through them to play both offense and defense. The main goal is to outscore the opposing team within the time limit. Signature mechanics include calling for picks to create space for a drive, executing alley-oop passes for flashy dunks, and timing your shot meter for a higher chance of the ball going in. The pacing is quick, almost arcade-like, and the difficulty can spike noticeably against the computer's sharper defensive plays. It feels like a straightforward, no-frills contest where a single stolen pass can completely shift the momentum of a game.
