Game Overview
Wrecking Crew '98 is that weird little SNES sequel to the old NES demolition game where Mario smashes buildings with a hammer. This time, Bowser’s putting up skyscrapers that block the sun, so Mario’s back to wreck everything—but now he’s got to deal with Foreman Spike, his old boss from the construction days, who’s working for Bowser. Classic Nintendo logic.
The two-player mode’s actually fun—you and a friend can go head-to-head smashing structures instead of taking turns like the original. And yeah, they threw in the whole first Wrecking Crew as a bonus, which is nice if you’re feeling nostalgic. It started as one of those Nintendo Power cartridge exclusives before getting a proper physical release. Not a must-play, but solid if you like chaotic, slightly janky '90s Nintendo oddities.
