WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 on PSP is one of those wrestling games where you can just feel the chaos—in a good way. The physics actually matter now—tables don’t just break the same way every time, and throwing a chair at someone’s head feels oddly satisfying. Ladders? You can prop them on the ropes or even snap them in half mid-match. And Hell in a Cell got way more brutal with weapons stashed under the ring and no door to escape through (good luck with that).
The new WWE Universe mode keeps things unpredictable—random cutscenes pop up, rivalries flare up based on how you fight, and suddenly you’re in a grudge match you didn’t see coming. Road to WrestleMania is where it gets fun, though. You can wander backstage, mess with other wrestlers, and even take on The Undertaker’s unbeaten streak (spoiler: it’s not easy). Playing as Rey Mysterio or John Cena has its own story twists, but creating your own wrestler and climbing the ranks is where I lost hours.
If you ever wanted to suplex someone through a table or pull off some ridiculous ladder stunt, this is the version that actually makes it feel real. Just watch out for steel steps—they hurt.
