I picked up X-Men Origins: Wolverine for the Nintendo DS back in 2009, published by Activision. You control Wolverine through levels that scroll both horizontally and vertically, slashing through waves of enemies with his claws. The main goal is to fight your way to the end of each stage, battling soldiers, mutants, and occasional bosses. Key mechanics include combo-based melee combat, a rage mode that boosts your damage, and using Wolverine's healing factor to recover health after taking hits. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some sections can get repetitive. It feels like a solid, no-frills beat-em-up that lets you lean into Wolverine's aggressive style.
