X Zone is one of those weird, intense SNES light gun games where you’re basically trying to stop a rogue AI from nuking everything. You play as some poor soul sent into a bio-computer’s kill zone, blasting robots and dodging their attacks in first-person—think Terminator meets Duck Hunt, but with way more panic.
The enemies come at you fast, and you’ve got to nail them before their shots connect. Boss fights are the real highlight—each one has these weird weak points you’ve gotta figure out, like shooting the glowing panels on a giant mech or timing your shots between its attack patterns. Mess up, and you’re staring at a game over screen real quick.
It’s not the deepest game, but there’s something satisfying about how frantic it gets. Just don’t expect to beat it on your first try.
