The tracks are surprisingly varied for a GBC game—20 of them, with tight turns, brutal jumps, and some sneaky shortcuts if you’re willing to risk a wipeout. I kept getting stuck on this one uphill section until I realized you gotta pump the pedals just right to keep your speed. And yeah, the training mode helps, but nothing beats the panic of your first elite race when the pack leaves you in the dust.
Unlocking new riders actually matters too—some are faster but tire easily, others plow through rough terrain like it’s nothing. Took me way too long to stop picking the flashy ones and go for stamina instead. If you’re into that early 2000s extreme sports vibe, this one’s a solid time capsule with some legit challenge.
