Xtreme Wheels came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed by Velez & Dubail and published by Ubisoft. It was part of that wave of late-era GBC titles trying to squeeze a little more action out of the hardware before the Advance arrived. The game puts you on a dirt bike across a series of off-road courses, focusing more on rough terrain and obstacles than pure speed.

You control a rider on a motocross bike, working through twenty different tracks filled with jumps, mud pits, and sharp turns. The main goal is to finish each race in the top three to advance. Key mechanics include collecting upgrade icons scattered on the track to temporarily boost your bike's speed or handling, and managing your stamina bar, which drains if you push too hard or take hard landings. Rival riders are aggressive; they will bump and block you, especially on narrow paths. The pacing is uneven, with some courses feeling frantic and others more about careful navigation. It feels like a scrappy, physical effort where every small mistake costs you momentum.
