Play xXx (U)(Venom) Online
Take control of Xander Cage, punch and kick through side-scrolling levels, disarm bombs, chase on motorcycles, and tackle terrorists in this action-packed GBA game.
I picked up xXx (U)(Venom) for the Game Boy Advance back when it came out, a licensed game based on the Vin Diesel movie. It was developed by Digital Eclipse and published by Activision, one of those early GBA titles that tried to bring blockbuster action to a handheld. The platform was still finding its footing with action games, and this one fit right into that experimental phase.
You control Xander Cage, moving through side-scrolling levels where you punch and kick your way through waves of enemies. The main goal is to stop a terrorist plot, which involves beating up thugs, disarming bombs, and occasionally switching to vehicle sections like motorcycle chases or speedboat sequences. You collect items to restore health and occasionally use context-sensitive actions to progress. The pacing is uneven, with some frustrating difficulty spikes, especially during the vehicle parts. It feels rough around the edges, but there's a simple, chaotic fun in plowing through enemies and completing objectives.
