So, xXx on the GBA is basically what happens if you take Vin Diesel’s over-the-top action movie and cram it into a side-scroller. You play as Xander Cage—extreme sports guy turned secret agent—shooting, jumping, and occasionally kicking dudes off motorcycles like it’s Road Rash with more explosions.
The side-scrolling bits feel like a mix of Contra and a platformer—you’re blasting goons with shotguns and AKs, tossing grenades when things get messy, and dodging tripwires like some kind of parkour spy. The driving levels are a nice break, though. Swerving around traffic while shoving enemy bikers into oncoming trucks never gets old.
It’s not the deepest game, but if you want something that feels like a cheesy action flick with a GBA in your hands, this does the job. Just watch out for those mines—they’re everywhere.
