Yadamon: Wonderland Dreams is one of those SNES games you’d swear was made just to make you smile. You play as Yadamon—this tiny, wide-eyed creature (witch? cat? the game never quite says) who drifts through levels like she’s half-dreaming. The whole thing feels like flipping through a storybook where the pages are made of cotton candy.
It’s got that floaty, forgiving platforming where you’re bouncing off mushrooms and dodging sentient umbrellas, and the controls just feel... soft, if that makes sense. Like, Yadamon doesn’t stomp—she kind of glides. The music’s all tinkly and cheerful, and there are little hidden nooks everywhere, like the developers hid candy in the levels and dared you to find it.
