Yogi's Great Escape came out in 1990 for the Amiga, developed by Hi-Tec Software. It was one of those platformers that felt right at home on the system, with colorful graphics and a straightforward premise. You don't see many licensed games from that era that hold up, but this one had its moments.

You control Yogi Bear, moving screen by screen through a national park, trying to avoid rangers and obstacles like falling rocks or bees. The main goal is to gather enough picnic baskets to progress before the timer runs out. You jump across platforms, sometimes using trampolines or vines to reach higher areas, and you can stun rangers temporarily by dropping apples on them. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages. It feels like a race against the clock with just enough challenge to keep you trying one more time.
