Play Young Merlin (Europe) Online
You play as a teenage Merlin brewing potions, shapeshifting into animals, and causing magical chaos in a vibrant 16-bit world—way before he became the legendary wizard.

Game Overview
Young Merlin is one of those SNES games that feels like it got lost in the shuffle back in the day—which is a shame, because it’s a weird little gem. You play as, well, a teenage Merlin, running around casting spells and getting into trouble before he became the all-knowing wizard from legend. The magic system’s the real hook here: you’re not just blasting fireballs. One minute you’re brewing potions, the next you’re shapeshifting into a fish to swim through underground lakes. It’s chaotic in the best way.
The world’s got that bright, chunky 16-bit charm—think Secret of Mana but with more floating spellbooks. And the music? All flutes and harps, like someone recorded it inside a fairy tale. Combat’s a mix of real-time slashing and spell-flinging, though half the fun is figuring out which ridiculous magic combo actually works against that giant mushroom monster. (Spoiler: the tornado spell sends them flying.)
It’s not perfect—some of the puzzles make you scratch your head, and good luck figuring out potion recipes without a guide—but there’s something endearing about its janky creativity. If you ever wanted a Zelda game where Link forgot his sword and just started experimenting with alchemy, this is it.
