Zidane Football Generation 2002 (Mode7) (E) is one of those early 2000s football games that feels both nostalgic and rough around the edges. You start with Zidane front and center, which makes sense given the title, but the actual gameplay is a mixed bag.
The animations try to be flashy, but on the GBA's tiny screen, players move like stiff little sprites. The free kick challenge mode is kind of fun once you get the timing down, though. I remember struggling at first because the controls aren't as responsive as they should be.
It's got a lot of national teams, but most play nearly identical aside from minor stat differences. Zidane Football Generation 2002 (Mode7) (E) is one for die-hard fans of the era, not something that holds up especially well today.
