Zoop is one of those puzzle games that looks simple at first—just a little colored shape in the middle of the screen, with other shapes closing in from all sides. But within minutes, it turns into this frantic scramble to match colors before they pile up. You’re basically a tiny geometric sniper, shooting at incoming shapes to clear them. Hit the same color, and it wipes out everything behind it in a satisfying chain. Get it wrong, though, and you swap colors, which can either save you or totally wreck your strategy.
It’s like Tetris if Tetris had a color-matching twist and way more urgency. The speed ramps up fast, and before long, you’re frantically flicking the controller back and forth, trying to line up shots before the screen fills. The Genesis version has that classic 16-bit sharpness to it—bright colors, crisp shapes, and that unmistakable early '90s puzzle game vibe.
