2 In 1 - Sonic Advance & Chuuchu Rocket (J) is one of those GBA carts that feels like two completely different worlds smashed together. One minute you're blasting through loops as Sonic, barely keeping up with the speed, and the next you're carefully plotting paths for mice in Chuuchu Rocket, trying not to trap them.
The Sonic half plays like you'd expect—fast, a little slippery, with those classic ring chases. But Chuuchu Rocket is where things get weird in a good way. It's this puzzle game where you lay down arrows to guide these little mice to safety, and sometimes you mess up so badly they just wander in circles forever.
Switching between them is jarring at first, but after a while, it starts to make sense. You get the adrenaline rush from Sonic, then slow things down with some brain-teasing puzzles. It's not perfect—the controls can feel a little stiff in both—but it's a solid combo if you want variety.
